About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as the key financial advisor to the CEO of a local Ag business in Muncie, IN. This role involves overseeing financial operations, managing cash flow, and leading strategic financial planning to support the company's growth and investment decisions. The CFO will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance while implementing processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Act as the CEO's key financial advisor, providing analysis and strategic insights for decision-making, long-term planning, and major investments.
• Oversee cash flow and cash management, optimizing liquidity and forecasting future cash needs.
• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting efforts to align with business goals, providing accurate and timely reports for decision-making.
• Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and clear insights for stakeholders.
• Evaluate and improve financial processes, implementing new policies to enhance efficiency and support growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 10+ years in financial leadership.
• Agriculture industry experience.
• Experience leading a small team.
