About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Aston Carter will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and direction of the organization. Responsibilities

  • Partner with executives to develop and measure financial progress on strategic plans.
  • Advise on financial planning, budgeting, and investment priorities.
  • Serve as a liaison to the board and finance committees.
  • Lead a team of finance professionals and build external relationships with key partners.
  • Oversee financial reporting, planning, and analysis.
  • Develop financial models and ensure timely availability of reports for senior leaders and external agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or Accounting related discipline required; MBA or Master's is a definite plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in financial analysis.
  • Experience in a senior management role, ideally with in-house financial management experience.
  • Preference for experience as an employee or board member of a nonprofit organization.
  • Familiarity with non-profit finance and accounting regulations (MUST HAVE NON PROFIT EXPERIENCE).
  • Proven track record of success facilitating progressive organizational change/development within a growing organization.
  • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to operate as an effective tactical as well as strategic thinker.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
