About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and finance functions of a leading full-service supplier in the Transportation, Industrial, and Commercial sectors. This role involves providing strategic decision-making support to senior leadership, managing financial operations across multiple entities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The CFO will guide financial decisions, manage budgets, and oversee financial reporting while leading a team of 8 employees.

Responsibilities

  • Provide decision-making support to all functional areas and Senior Leadership.
  • Report risk issues to the President and Group CFO.
  • Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for regional P&L, revenue growth, and EBIT targets.
  • Planning, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis.
  • Prepare annual budget and monthly reports to headquarters including KPI, Operating Index, Budget Comparison, and Variance Analysis, Cash Flow Forecast.
  • Manage working capital and improve financial operations.
  • Oversee the financial operations of subsidiary companies and foreign operations.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings in North & South America.
  • Handle treasury operations including cash flow forecasting, supplier credit, and customer collection.
  • Support corporate-level activities such as mergers and acquisitions, regulatory bodies, and banking relationships.
  • Manage loan packages and monitor financial covenants.
  • Maintain price control in the ERP system and analyze periodic Purchasing Price Variance.
  • Conduct ongoing cost analyses and report on margins by product and customer.
  • Oversee accounting operations including A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, and Fixed Assets.
  • Monitor month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Develop M&A strategy and support departmental activities as necessary.
  • Renew and maintain the annual company insurance package.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between operations and external/internal auditors.
  • Oversee the implementation of a new cost-efficient ERP system.
  • Facilitate staff development through ongoing training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Master's degree or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years' automotive experience.
  • 10+ years' progressive responsibilities managing accounting/finance teams in multi-entities and multinational environments.
  • Broad experience in all aspects of accounting.
  • Experience in strategic business planning.
  • Highly proficient in written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office software.
