About the position

Palmer Group has partnered with an outstanding company to find their next Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their leadership team. This company is involved in various aspects of the agricultural and renewable energy industries. As a strategic Chief Financial Officer, this role will be responsible for the development and execution of the financial strategy across the organization. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of the company, ensuring that financial practices align with the overall business objectives and the organization’s values and goals. This position requires a strong leader who can navigate complex financial landscapes and drive the company towards sustainable growth. The CFO will lead the financial planning and analysis process, optimizing financial performance and driving informed decision-making by providing insightful analysis and recommendations. This includes ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP accounting standards. The CFO will also manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure compliance with both state and federal regulations. Strengthening and cultivating new strategic relationships with external partners will be a key focus, as well as participating in negotiations of terms and agreements that benefit the organization. In addition to these responsibilities, the CFO will identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost optimization by collaborating with operational teams. Implementing initiatives to enhance operational performance and profitability across the organization will be essential. The role also involves providing strong leadership and mentorship to the accounting and finance teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning. Developing talent and building a high-performing team capable of supporting the evolving needs of the organization is a critical aspect of this position.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CFO, Vice President of Finance, or similar role in a complex, multi-entity environment
  • Experience in the agricultural industry is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and trends
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
