About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Worthen Industries will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Accounting and Information Technology departments, budget preparation, and audit functions. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will be a key business partner in developing and executing a new strategic plan for the company, which has a rich history and operates in diverse manufacturing sectors. The role requires providing timely financial reporting and analysis to the board, as well as supporting the implementation of advanced business systems to enhance operational and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Accounting and Information Technology departments.
• Prepare budgets and manage audit functions.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO to develop a new business-wide strategic plan.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis to the board.
• Support the implementation of business systems to create KPI dashboards.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience as Senior VP/CFO in a private or family-owned manufacturing business with at least $100 million in sales.
• 8-10 years of experience in financial management.
• Experience implementing and managing sophisticated ERP systems.
• Prior experience in M&A/integration, tax planning, and leveraged loan credit agreements.
• Proven success in integrating market dynamics and internal capabilities into a strategic plan.
• Strong interpersonal skills with integrity and ethics.
• Intellectual horsepower, analytical skills, and sound business judgment.
• Ability to influence actions and opinions of others effectively.
• Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
• Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in the apparel, automotive, medical, or label industries.
• Familiarity with Fortune 500 company operations.
