About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Community Bankshares Inc is responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the Holding Company and its subsidiaries. This role involves advising the Board of Directors on long-term financial planning, capital requirements, and financial controls, while also acting as the Chief Risk Officer. The CFO will drive innovation and modernization within the organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and enhancing financial systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage all financial affairs of the Holding Company and subsidiaries.
• Advise the Board of Directors on long-range financial planning and capital requirements.
• Lead modernization of accounting systems and processes, including implementation of Sage Intacct.
• Oversee the development of KRI and KPI dashboards for the Risk Management Program.
• Manage the annual budget and forecast processes.
• Provide guidance to subsidiary accounting groups on liquidity and regulatory compliance.
• Initiate and manage capital raising and restructuring efforts.
• Work with executive management to ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• College degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of broad banking experience relating to bank operations and branch administration.
• High ability to analyze and communicate complex accounting and finance concepts.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and banking software programs.
