About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive team, leading the financial activities of the corporation. This role focuses on ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and forecasting for future growth. The CFO will drive financial planning, investment decisions, and operational improvements across departments, with an emphasis on creating shareholder value and fostering company growth. The position requires strong leadership skills, with a focus on coaching and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the financial activities of the corporation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.
  • Drive financial planning and investment decisions.
  • Manage cash flow to promote strong financial health.
  • Produce forecasts and budgets to support strategic planning.
  • Analyze operations to recommend areas for growth or reorganization.
  • Direct the preparation of financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with department heads to implement and track changes.
  • Participate in identifying and evaluating opportunities for expansion.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
  • 12+ years of accounting/finance experience, with a minimum of 8-10 years in financial management.
  • Proven management and supervisory skills.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in database, accounting, and financial systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Talent development and coaching experience.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and enterprise risk management.

Nice-to-haves

  • CPA, CMA, or MBA credentials preferred.
  • Experience in the telecommunications or construction industry.
  • Proven experience in generating free cash flow and debt paydown strategies.
  • Capital allocation expertise and board presentation experience.
  • Familiarity with tax regulations for S-Corporations.
