About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center is a key member of the management team, responsible for overseeing all finance and accounting functions. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including the CEO, leadership, physicians, and external partners, to ensure effective financial management and strategic planning within the organization. The CFO will also oversee the information technology and facilities teams, providing leadership in financial operations and revenue cycle management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all finance and accounting functions at the organization.
• Lead a diverse team of finance professionals.
• Engage regularly with leadership, physicians, Board members, and external health system partners.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team.
• Collaborate with the OneOncology team on local accounting and finance functions.
• Provide financial, operational, and revenue cycle leadership to the Cancer Center and its affiliates.
• Manage budget responsibilities and financial resource management.
• Prepare financial statements and operational productivity reports.
• Conduct financial performance analysis and long-range projections.
• Oversee cash management and banking matters.
• Lead strategic planning and process management.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and third-party regulations.

Requirements

• Master's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting.
• Minimum of 10 years of financial administration experience, preferably in healthcare.
• CPA preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of oncology clinical activities and revenue cycle operations.
