About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a pivotal role within the organization, primarily responsible for overseeing the Finance and Accounting functions across various sectors, including hospitality and gaming. This position is crucial for establishing and maintaining robust accounting practices and financial reporting systems, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), gaming regulations, and internal control standards. The CFO will play a key role in asset management, pricing strategies, financial analysis, and the overall planning and budgeting processes of the organization. In addition to these responsibilities, the CFO will support the General Manager in the operational aspects of the business, collaborating with other departmental leaders to enhance the company's objectives and profitability. This role requires a strategic mindset, as the CFO must anticipate future trends and consequences while remaining engaged with daily operations. The ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including guests, regulatory agencies, and community members, is essential. The CFO will also be responsible for presenting complex financial information in a clear and persuasive manner, ensuring that all team members are informed and aligned with the company's financial goals. The CFO must operate within a highly confidential environment, demonstrating personal accountability, integrity, and respect for others at all times. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Finance and Accounting functions of the organization.
  • Establish and maintain strong accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, gaming regulations, and internal control standards.
  • Manage asset management, pricing strategies, financial analysis, and budgeting processes.
  • Support the General Manager in operational business aspects.
  • Interface with departmental and operations personnel to enhance company objectives and profits.
  • Respond to inquiries or complaints from guests and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Present information and respond to questions effectively, making persuasive presentations on complex topics.
  • Read, analyze, and interpret various financial and legal documents.
  • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).
  • Strong operational skills with a focus on continued growth.
  • Proven technical skills and knowledge of current accounting practices.
  • Experience with Infinium accounting software is desired.
  • Ability to operate in a highly confidential environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to motivate, negotiate, and persuade stakeholders.
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects with clear objectives and realistic time frames.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Accounting software, Database software, Inventory software, and Order Processing systems.
  • Strategically agile with the ability to anticipate future trends and consequences.
