About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of a leading manufacturing firm in the clean energy sector. This position is responsible for overseeing all financial operations, developing financial strategies, and guiding the company's financial decisions to support its growth and sustainability goals. The CFO will report directly to the CEO and will be instrumental in managing risk, ensuring compliance, and driving profitability within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's business goals and growth plans.
  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes.
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, payroll, and compliance with financial regulations.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to the executive team and Board of Directors.
  • Analyze and manage cash flow, cost controls, and financial risk management.
  • Guide decision-making on capital investments, pricing strategies, and financial modeling.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting to inform key business decisions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to optimize financial performance across the organization.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, driving a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Lead efforts to secure funding, manage investor relations, and ensure effective capital allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and tax filings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with at least 5 years as a CFO or in a similar senior finance role.
  • Strong experience in the manufacturing sector, with a deep understanding of financial processes within a production environment.
  • Experience in the solar, renewable energy, or clean tech industries is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of driving financial growth in high-revenue companies.
  • Expertise in financial planning, analysis, and capital management.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with ERP systems, financial modeling, and business intelligence tools.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and manage a finance team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to stakeholders.
