About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Banner - University Medical Center Tucson is responsible for overseeing financial operations, programs, and processes to ensure quality outcomes and superior service. This role involves guiding the development and implementation of financial strategies, leading a team, and serving as a primary advisor to senior management. The CFO promotes a collaborative work environment and represents the organization positively both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

• Guide the development and implementation of short and long-range financial goals and objectives.
• Direct, supervise, and evaluate the work of direct staff and matrixed employees.
• Build and support effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Develop and implement organizational policies, procedures, and practices for financial operations.
• Oversee the department budget to meet corporate goals and objectives.
• Communicate the department vision and translate it into actionable projects.
• Prepare, analyze, and present reports and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Participate as a subject-matter expert in task forces and committees.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent level of education and experience.
• Minimum of five years of progressively responsible managerial experience, including two years in a management level role within a healthcare system or complex corporate environment.
• Expert-level knowledge of financial principles and practices in a healthcare setting.
• Proven track record of driving successful performance outcomes and accomplishing organizational goals.
