About the position

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a pivotal role in the financial leadership of the organization, particularly within the health care sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, ensuring that the organization meets its financial goals and complies with all regulatory requirements. This position requires a strong background in financial planning, budgeting, and strategy, as well as expertise in cost accounting and performance management systems. The CFO will lead a team of finance professionals, including the Controller, Financial Manager, and Revenue Cycle Manager, to drive the financial success of the organization. In this role, the CFO will be tasked with planning, budgeting, strategizing, maintaining, and forecasting all financial activities. This includes managing audits, financial reporting, and compliance requirements. The CFO will also be responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships with key stakeholders, including the CEO, Finance Committee, Board of Directors, external auditors, and payor sources. The position demands a high level of financial acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders to ensure the financial health of the organization. Responsibilities

  • Lead finance staff in setting and achieving the financial goals of the organization.
  • Manage the Controller, Financial Manager, and Revenue Cycle Manager.
  • Oversee financial activities of the organization, including planning, budgeting, strategizing, maintaining, and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with all audits and financial reporting requirements.
  • Develop positive relationships with the CEO, Finance Committee, Board of Directors, external auditors, and payor sources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA or CMA highly preferred.
  • Solid experience in financial leadership within a health care setting.
  • Expertise in cost accounting and performance management systems.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, strategy, forecasting, and working with state/federal/third-party payors.
  • Advanced computer and data entry skills.
