About The Position

The Chief Growth Officer role at Prudential focuses on driving business development within the Simplified Solutions segment, aiming to close partnership deals with various target companies, including large financial institutions and fintechs. Requirements

  • Significant experience in partnership deal business development, preferably in the insurance industry, with a demonstrable record of success in driving growth.
  • Deep knowledge of consumer lines of insurance, including P&L, financials, underwriting considerations, distribution strategies, and claims.
  • Experience with consumer insurance mass distribution, particularly via digital touchpoints.
  • Strong experience in developing commercial relationships in both large corporations and medium-sized tech companies.
  • An innovation mindset with resilience to navigate ambiguity and a results-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of US deals that are digital in nature.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for all business development activities related to prospecting new corporate partners, negotiating and closing contracts, and overseeing the first sale of each distribution partner.
  • Development and execution of the strategic plan for target industries, verticals, and segments where Simplified Solutions will operate.
  • Management of the customized value proposition for each partner segment, including delivering compelling presentations to target distribution partners.
  • Responsible for prospecting activity across the US territory, targeting industries such as retail, financial institutions, fintechs, and insurtechs.
  • Active management of the SS pipeline of partnership deals, tracking signed deals, average revenue, and deals in negotiation.
  • Establishing a commercial discipline within the group with periodic updates and prioritization efforts for account implementation.
  • Ensuring Prudential is included in all relevant deal RFPs and solicitation processes.
  • Collaborating with Prudential's venture capital ecosystem to ensure investments consider monetization through partnerships.
  • Proposal authoring and presentation, coordinating with contributors to develop content and confirm alignment with business stakeholders.
  • Participating in establishing overall partnership business governance to ensure nimble yet controlled business development.
