About the position

Bryn Mawr College seeks a dynamic and collaborative leader to serve as its next Chief Information Officer and Constance A. Jones Director of Libraries (CIO & Director). This role is pivotal in advancing the College's integrated IT/library organization, ensuring it fosters a culture of innovation, inclusiveness, and excellence. The CIO & Director will oversee the Library & Information Technology Services (LITS) organization, managing a significant budget and a team of professional staff, while also playing a central role in the success of the College's faculty, students, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the merged Library & Information Technology Services (LITS) organization.
• Provide cohesive leadership across library and IT functions at Bryn Mawr.
• Manage change as the College reexamines the concept of 'library' in the 21st century.
• Ensure technology and library investments align with institutional goals.
• Collaborate with the new Director of Information Security to enhance IT and data security practices.
• Co-sponsor the upcoming Workday implementation to improve efficiency and resource planning.
• Shepherd existing collaborative culture while addressing IT needs across campus.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in library and information technology services.
• Strong understanding of current trends in library and information technology.
• Experience managing large budgets and diverse teams.
• Ability to foster collaboration among various stakeholders.
• Strategic vision for integrating technology and library services.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in higher education administration.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Workday.
