About the position

We are looking for a visionary and innovative Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our IT team within the Destinations Line of Business at Aramark. This leader will be responsible for setting and aligning our technology strategy with our business goals. The CIO will report directly to the President & CEO and will work closely with other senior executives to define our go-to-market strategy. This role is crucial in establishing and maintaining critical relationships with vendors and clients, ensuring that our technology services meet the needs of our business and our customers. In this position, the CIO will manage IT personnel, projects, and budgets within the Line of Business. To be successful, the ideal candidate should possess a solid background in IT management and leadership, along with a strong understanding of the hospitality industry and its unique challenges, particularly in remote environments. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential, as is a strategic and business-oriented mindset. The responsibilities of the CIO include setting cohesive IT strategies that support the vision and mission of the business, engaging with the Growth organization and clients to understand their needs, and demonstrating how technology services can deliver value. The CIO will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team, guiding and developing the technology team while managing client relationships to provide guidance on technology services and solutions. Financial performance is another critical aspect of this role, as the CIO will provide transparency and ROI related to IT investments, manage technology financial performance, and advise the business on IT capabilities that can drive operating efficiencies. Additionally, the CIO will monitor changes or advancements in technology to discover ways the business can gain a competitive advantage and deliver innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Set objectives and strategies for the IT department to support the business vision and mission.
  • Define a seamless experience for customers interacting with technology.
  • Engage with the Growth organization and clients to understand their needs and demonstrate technology services.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and guide the technology team.
  • Engage directly with clients to provide guidance on technology services and solutions.
  • Provide transparency and ROI for IT investments and manage technology financial performance.
  • Monitor technological advancements to identify competitive advantages and innovative solutions.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of IT leadership experience in a large, complex environment.
  • Prior experience as a business unit/company CIO is preferred.
  • Experience within retail or hospitality industries is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence overall business strategy and align IT with business goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle complex situations.
