About the position

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is responsible for the strategic direction, design, architecture, and functionality of the enterprise-wide information systems. This role oversees the implementation and maintenance of ERP systems and ensures maximum uptime and stability of systems and networks. The CIO drives integration with global IT systems, manages cyber security measures, and serves as a liaison to the Wuerth Group global IT bodies, ensuring local business requirements are met while participating in global IT decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Establish an enterprise information technology strategy that sets a vision and embraces the diversity of different business unit divisions.
  • Create and implement an agile environment responsive to changing business needs.
  • Lead ERP implementations and integrations across all divisions, ensuring project milestones are defined and achieved.
  • Manage infrastructure, software, and hardware to ensure consistency in functionality for users.
  • Drive cyber security applications, processes, and controls to ensure systems, networks, programs, devices, and data are secure.
  • Serve as a liaison in global technology enhancement initiatives that provide better solutions for customers.
  • Establish a robust and stable IT project management organization.
  • Oversee project management initiatives and personnel for IT implementations, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Design reports, metrics, and communication tools for status updates to key stakeholders and executives.
  • Evaluate and integrate independent systems into overarching enterprise systems for greater synergies across divisions.
  • Participate in M&A activities and oversee the integration of newly acquired business entities.
  • Stay abreast of technological advances and identify areas of use in the organization.
  • Manage, coach, and develop IT personnel to ensure high levels of customer service and professional knowledge.
  • Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization.
  • Design and execute a sound HR strategy to ensure long-term stability of the IT organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in information technology and demonstrated experience implementing large-scale projects.
  • Project management experience with broad scope projects across multiple business units; PMP certification preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP system functionality and life-cycle is a plus.
  • Experience in designing architecture, aligning systems, and implementing a robust enterprise-wide network.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, infrastructure design, Windows Operating Systems, and client/server environment.
  • Experience with process definition, process improvement, and strategic planning.
  • Experience in the Wuerth Group IT environment is a plus.
  • Experience in Corporate IT strategy and operations is a plus.
