About the position

Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead and oversee technology operations across its US offices. The CIO will be responsible for information security, cloud and on-premise infrastructure, end-user support, and mobile device management. This role requires collaboration with attorneys and staff to assess technology needs and ensure alignment with the firm's strategic goals. The CIO will also play a key role in the executive team, working closely with other senior leaders to integrate and support technology priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day technology operations in US offices.
• Establish a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap.
• Develop and implement IT department goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
• Transition the IT department from a cost center to a profit center.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to support practice goals with technology.
• Maintain a customer-focused IT team and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Lead continuous assessment and improvement of core business processes and systems.
• Ensure maximum operational uptime of technology solutions and services.
• Develop and monitor a comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program.
• Maintain consistent communication across the organization regarding IT initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading technology teams.
• Extensive IT experience in the professional services or legal industry.
• Proven capability in managing large scale technology projects.
• Strong leadership qualities in critical thinking and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to assess solution architecture and design.
