In this role, the Chief Information Officer (CIO) will be responsible for overseeing the evaluation, design, analysis, and implementation of IT frameworks that drive business results through aligned technologies and solutions. The CIO will manage the technical designs, roadmaps, and migration strategies for both future state systems and the stability of existing systems. This position requires a strategic approach to managing critical business ERP systems, cloud services, third-party applications, and vendor services to ensure the delivery of required business solutions. The CIO will also implement best practices in risk management and security, working closely with the Database Administration (DBA) team to deploy solutions into User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments and production. The essential duties include staying updated on emerging technologies that can enhance IT department performance and profitability, creating and implementing IT policies, protocols, and standards, and collaborating with upper management to develop the IT department budget. The CIO will ensure that IT strategies and processes align with company-wide goals, oversee contract negotiations with IT vendors, and communicate with other executives regarding the costs, value, and risks associated with new IT projects. Additionally, the CIO will work with IT staff to develop and implement best practices, ITIL frameworks, and IT security policies, while driving synergies between cross-functional teams and stakeholders. The role also involves planning and budgeting for the IT department, strategizing to control costs, improving productivity, and ensuring a return on investment (ROI). The CIO will oversee managed services and third-party vendors, develop IT projects and roadmaps, and establish key IT initiatives, goals, and timelines. Furthermore, the CIO will manage key IT functional areas, including infrastructure, security, cloud services, and business enterprise systems, ensuring the security of all information and computer systems. The position requires a strong focus on data security, disaster recovery plans, and cyber security awareness, as well as overseeing business intelligence functional areas and projects.
