About the position

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Neighborhood Health Center is responsible for leading the development and implementation of IT strategies that support the organization's mission of providing impactful healthcare. This role involves overseeing IT performance metrics, managing the IT budget, and ensuring the security and efficiency of health information systems. The CIO will work closely with senior leaders to align IT initiatives with clinical operations and organizational objectives, while also serving as the HIPAA Security Officer.

Responsibilities

• Lead the process to develop a new IT strategic plan every 2-3 years.
• Define IT performance metrics based on the organization's overall objectives.
• Develop forward-looking models and initiatives that provide insight into clinical operations and efficiency.
• Plan and manage the annual IT work plan and budgetary needs.
• Standardize IT processes across the organization and hold staff accountable for policy adherence.
• Lead and manage projects to optimize the Electronic Health Records (EHR) and VoIP systems.
• Serve as the in-house expert on HIPAA Security and ensure compliance with standards.
• Align IT risk management with organization-wide risk management.
• Ensure secure data interfaces between EHR and other systems.

Requirements

• BS or BA Degree required; Master's preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in a Healthcare Information role.
• Experience in a senior role, partnering with executive staff.
• Significant experience in all facets of IT, including systems applications and database administration.
• Deep experience in troubleshooting and crisis management.
• Experience hiring, developing, and coaching teams.
• Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills.
