Responsibilities

  • Define and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that drives the organization's goals, supports clinical excellence, and enhances operational efficiency.
  • Work cross-functionally to unify clinical, administrative, and technical teams, building a cohesive vision that supports top-tier patient care.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of Epic EHR systems, ensuring seamless integration, reliability, and usability.
  • Drive industry-leading cybersecurity strategies to safeguard patient data, enhance IT security, and ensure robust disaster recovery plans.
  • Champion the adoption of AI and other advanced technologies that enhance patient outcomes and streamline clinic operations.
  • Identify and implement breakthrough digital health trends and tools, positioning our organization at the forefront of healthcare technology.
  • Lead key innovation projects, transforming patient experience, operational workflows, and the broader healthcare ecosystem.
  • Oversee monthly metrics and dashboard reporting to drive data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Build and manage relationships with technology vendors, securing contracts that maximize quality, innovation, and value.
  • Evaluate and integrate software solutions that enhance our clinical and administrative processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, including EHR and Epic implementation teams, data analytics, and health information teams.
  • Cultivate a culture of growth, innovation, and collaboration, empowering staff to achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in healthcare IT leadership (CIO, CTO, or similar roles) with a strong background in EHR systems, networks, and data analytics.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Advanced understanding of IT security, interoperability, and data protection.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of FQHC healthcare organizations.
  • Experience with OCHIN Epic.
