About the position

The Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Telna will lead the technology strategy and operations, playing a crucial role in the executive team. This position focuses on driving innovation in eSIM, SaaS, and IoT solutions while ensuring the reliability and scalability of the global network infrastructure. The CIO will be responsible for developing a comprehensive technology roadmap, managing a high-performing team, and engaging with customers and partners to enhance Telna's product offerings and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with Telna's business goals.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Develop a technology roadmap to upgrade and improve systems for increased traffic.
  • Drive innovation in eSIM, SaaS, IoT, and network solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering and technology team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the design, development, and deployment of eSIM, SaaS, and IoT solutions.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products and services.
  • Collaborate with product management to define product roadmaps and prioritize development efforts.
  • Implement best practices for software development, including agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with the COO to ensure the reliability and security of the network infrastructure.
  • Implement best practices for network monitoring and incident management.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers and partners.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to communicate technology vision.
  • Develop and manage the technology budget for efficient resource use.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a CIO or in a similar senior technology leadership role in telecommunications.
  • Strong background in software development and telco technologies (SS7, Diameter, GTP, etc.).
  • Experience managing complex, global network infrastructures, including cloud and on-premise solutions.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-paced, always-on global company environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in telecommunications.
