About the position

Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead and oversee the technology operations across its US offices. The CIO will be responsible for information security, cloud and on-premise infrastructure, and end-user support, while collaborating with attorneys and staff to assess and enhance technology services. This role is integral to the firm's executive team, working closely with other senior leaders to align technology priorities with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day technology operations in US offices.
• Establish a comprehensive technology strategy and roadmap that aligns with the firm's strategic plan.
• Develop and implement IT department goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
• Transition the IT department from a cost center to a profit center.
• Collaborate with firm leadership to support top-level practice goals through technology.
• Maintain a customer-focused IT team and communicate technology's role in supporting business strategy.
• Lead continuous assessment and improvement of core business processes and systems.
• Ensure maximum operational uptime of technology solutions and services.
• Develop and monitor a comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program.
• Maintain consistent communication across the organization regarding IT initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading technology teams.
• Extensive IT experience in the professional services or legal industry.
• Proven capability in managing large scale technology projects.
• Strong leadership qualities in critical thinking and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to assess solution architecture and design.

• Advanced degree such as an MBA in management information systems.
• Security Certifications such as CISM or CISSP.
