About the position

The position is for a full-time role located in Northeast Minneapolis (CityView) with a salary range starting from $300,000 to $350,000, depending on experience and education. The role involves developing and implementing IT infrastructure to support strategic goals and initiatives at MNGI, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and enhancing patient outcomes through technology. The individual will act as a liaison between IT, clinical teams, and senior leadership, and will be responsible for leading the IT team and managing vendor relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an IT infrastructure that allows MNGI to reach strategic goals and company-wide initiatives.
  • Create an IT plan that complements the overall strategic plan, overseeing the deployment of critical systems such as Electronic Health Records (EHR) and telemedicine platforms.
  • Act as a key liaison between IT, clinical teams, and senior leadership.
  • Effectively communicate the impact of technology initiatives on patient care and business operations.
  • Lead efforts to integrate technology solutions that enhance clinical workflows and patient engagement.
  • Lead and mentor the IT team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
  • Define IT performance metrics based on the organization's overall objectives.
  • Identify redundancies in current systems and develop initiatives that streamline technology.
  • Manage relationships with external IT vendors, particularly those specializing in healthcare technology.
  • Research and implement new IT solutions and technologies based on the organization's needs.
  • Participate in organizational policy development as a member of the senior management team.
  • Represent the organization from a technology perspective to partners and community organizations.
  • Conduct regular meetings with staff to provide coaching, supervision, and communication.
  • Ensure all IT systems comply with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and HITECH.
  • Oversee the execution of IT projects that impact clinical and administrative functions.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the CEO, senior management, and board of directors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
  • 10 years of IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a healthcare environment.
  • A strategic vision of the national and international health care delivery marketplace.
  • Demonstrated skills as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare technology infrastructure, data security, and emerging trends in healthcare technology.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
  • Knowledge of telemedicine technologies.
  • Familiarity with data analytics in healthcare.
