About the position

Hartman Executive Advisors is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to provide advisory, cyber, and analysis services to a portfolio of clients. This client-facing role involves working closely with the C-Suite to address various concerns related to data and cyber security, regulatory compliance, and corporate governance. The CISO will lead security risk assessments, compliance audits, and oversee remediation activities while guiding security performance measures to enhance client objectives.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisory and analysis services related to cyber security for clients.
• Consult with C-Suite executives on data security and regulatory concerns.
• Lead security risk assessments and compliance audits.
• Oversee execution of remediation activities for security issues.
• Guide security performance measures and evaluate service improvement opportunities.
• Establish, track, and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) for cyber security initiatives.
• Interact with outside vendors to procure beneficial products and services.
• Document and communicate business requirements and translate them into system specifications.
• Identify and communicate opportunities to add value to client services.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in a cyber security leadership role.
• Experience in complex regulatory and compliance environments.
• Strong process-focused mindset to address business problems.
• Ability to establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Excellent planning, organizing, budgeting, and meeting management skills.
• Strong verbal, writing, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to interact effectively across diverse cultures and organizations.
• Self-motivated, independent, cooperative, flexible, and creative.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field.
• MBA preferred but not required.
