About the position

The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) is a strategic leadership role responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive information security strategy to protect the organization’s critical assets. This position involves leading a team of security professionals, managing risks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a security culture within the organization. The CISO will oversee incident response, security architecture, and security awareness programs, while collaborating with other executives to align security initiatives with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security strategy that aligns with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of security professionals, fostering a culture of vigilance and continuous improvement.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks to the organization’s information assets, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Lead the development and execution of a robust incident response plan to effectively respond to security breaches.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of security architectures and controls to protect the organization’s IT infrastructure.
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive security awareness program to educate employees on security best practices.
  • Work closely with other C-level executives and business units to align security initiatives with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in information security, including knowledge of security frameworks, threat landscapes, and best practices.
  • Proven experience leading and mentoring security teams, with a track record of building strong security cultures.
  • Ability to develop and implement a security strategy that aligns with business goals and anticipates future challenges.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to information security.
  • Experience leading incident response efforts, including the development of incident response plans and threat detection.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or similar are highly desirable.
  • Experience with cloud security, threat intelligence, and security operations centers (SOCs) is highly desirable.
