About the position

The Chief Information Technology Officer (CITO) is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing health data management, analytics, and technology solutions within a reputable hospital in Northeastern Oregon. The CITO will lead a high-performing team, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure the organization has the necessary technological resources to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. This position involves strategic planning, implementation of technology solutions, and measurement of the value of healthcare IT programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee health data management and analytics.
  • Deliver data-driven strategic operational recommendations.
  • Serve as a thought leader on the senior management team.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure technological resources meet organizational goals.
  • Monitor and assess new technology solutions for scalability and impact.
  • Manage a team of technical and non-technical professionals to implement and optimize services and solutions.
  • Construct meaningful HIT strategies to address business needs and identify performance metrics.
  • Direct hardware/software implementation including installation, assessments, and testing.
  • Develop strategic, operational, and technological solutions to improve quality and reduce costs.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of director-level experience leading teams through complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of contract and risk assessment, analytics, and reporting.
  • Experience managing and analyzing healthcare data (EHR, HIE, claims, CCD/CCDA).
  • Master's degree or equivalent education/experience in business administration, informatics, or computer science.
  • Experience in an organization with a $2M budget.
