About the position
The Chief Maintenance Engineer is responsible for overseeing preventative and mechanical maintenance within the automotive manufacturing sector. This role requires a self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in machine repair and maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Complete mechanical repairs and adjustments as needed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery as assigned.
- Successfully troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems.
- Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction.
- Enter data into the maintenance system timely and accurately.
- Perform advanced electrical work to maintain safety in the maintenance field.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
- 5+ years of experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and PLC systems.
- Experience with electrical, troubleshooting, hydraulics, mechanical, pneumatics, and corrective maintenance.
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley PLC, Fanuc robots, HMI programming, and Mitsubishi PLC.
- Experience in preventative and corrective maintenance.
Nice-to-haves
- Associate Degree in Electro-Mechanical.
- Programming experience with Allen Bradley.
- Experience in Japanese automotive manufacturing.
