About the position

The Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO) at iCivics is a pivotal role responsible for executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies to enhance the organization's brand visibility and engagement. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMCO will lead the marketing operations, oversee external communications, and ensure consistent internal messaging. This position aims to promote civic education and strengthen the organization's reputation while collaborating with leadership and stakeholders to drive awareness and support for iCivics' mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of marketing and communications strategies to promote the iCivics brand.
• Oversee all external communications and ensure timely and consistent messaging across the organization.
• Manage the marketing operations, including the launch of new branding initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to set the vision for the Communications and Marketing Team.
• Drive public relations activities to enhance the organization's strategic positioning.
• Build and expand partnerships to advance the organization's mission and civic education awareness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior marketing and communications role, preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in public relations and brand management.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic marketing plans.
