About the position

As the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Velsera, you will be responsible for driving the comprehensive marketing strategy and leading all aspects of the marketing function. This high-impact leadership role involves ensuring cross-functional alignment within the organization, accelerating customer bookings growth, enhancing renewals and expansions, and building global brand recognition. The CMO will oversee demand generation, corporate communications, brand strategy, and product marketing, while collaborating closely with sales and product leadership to develop effective go-to-market strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with strategic goals.
  • Own the entire marketing function, including demand generation, digital marketing, brand strategy, and corporate communications.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to create data-driven campaigns that deliver high-quality leads.
  • Leverage insights and data to optimize marketing initiatives for ROI.
  • Lead the development of go-to-market strategies for new product offerings.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and industry partners.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team.
  • Act as the company's brand ambassador at industry events and conferences.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of proven success in marketing within a healthcare technology company, specifically in Omics.
  • Knowledge and experience marketing to stakeholders involved in precision medicine.
  • Experience managing small marketing teams of 5-10 in-house professionals.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with a hands-on attitude.
  • Demonstrated analytical ability around program performance measurement and ROI.
  • Practical and data-driven approach to marketing program development.
  • Post-graduate studies in business, marketing, or related field.
  • Must be located in the US, with preference for the Boston area.
