About the position

The position is responsible for developing and executing critical marketing strategies that align with BetMGM's organizational objectives. The role involves managing the overall brand strategy, overseeing a substantial marketing budget, and leading a large team of marketing professionals. The individual will also be accountable for creative direction across various channels and will work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure marketing efforts support the company's financial and branding goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute critical marketing strategies linked to organizational objectives.
  • Manage overall brand strategy for BetMGM.
  • Oversee the marketing budget across all channels including TV, Radio, digital, and social media.
  • Lead social media following across all channels.
  • Build and lead a highly efficient team of marketing professionals.
  • Manage relationships with creative and buying agencies.
  • Mentor and support key marketing team leaders at the Director and VP levels.
  • Negotiate key online and offline advertising contracts to ensure ROI delivery.
  • Oversee all marketing campaign ideas and ensure accountability.
  • Coordinate marketing efforts with financial and branding goals in mind.
  • Support the development and approval of key KPIs for the marketing department.
  • Create a network of strategic partnerships.
  • Work cross-functionally with stakeholders in Product, BI, Operations, and Compliance.

Requirements

  • Analytically driven with the ability to lead media and creative optimization.
  • Experience in the gambling industry, sports, media, or $B+ ecommerce.
  • Proven brand development experience in the US or Canada.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a significant team across various marketing disciplines.
  • Experience in understanding complex process flows and driving improvements.
  • Ability to re-prioritize and be flexible in a high-paced environment.
  • Collaborative management style with the ability to build partnerships.
  • Experience in developing cost-efficient online strategic business plans with analyzed ROI.
  • More than 10 years of proven experience in an executive marketing position with an online-based company.
  • Creative and entrepreneurial spirit with exceptional marketing knowledge.
