About the position

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Tranzonic Companies is responsible for developing and executing the company's marketing strategy, focusing on driving growth through distribution channel and category management. This role requires a seasoned marketing professional with expertise in category management, brand development, and go-to-market strategies, overseeing the marketing team to ensure alignment with the company's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports the company's growth objectives and enhances brand recognition within distribution channels.
  • Develop, lead and manage a team of category managers, ensuring that each category's strategies are aligned with overall company goals and market demands.
  • Provide strategic guidance to a high-performance team of marketing professionals fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Collaborate with sales and distribution teams to optimize channel strategies, ensuring effective product placement, promotion, and pricing across all distribution partners.
  • Oversee brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency across all marketing channels, including digital, print, and in-store.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform strategic decisions and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Develop metrics to evaluate effectiveness in reaching customers across all channels.
  • Utilize consumer research and business analysis to assess ROI and drive a culture of agility, action, and accountability.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across categories and marketing initiatives.
  • Work closely with product development, sales, and operations teams to ensure cohesive and effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies and adjust plans as necessary to achieve targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, preferably as a CMO or VP, Marketing, with a focus on distribution channels.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse team of marketing professionals.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing marketing strategies that drive growth and brand recognition.
  • In-depth understanding of category management and the ability to translate market trends into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience leading medium to large scale business transformation efforts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence laterally.
  • Experience leading centralized and remote teams in a corporate environment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
