About the position

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at PROS will lead the marketing strategy aligned with the company's overall strategic direction, focusing on driving growth through innovative marketing initiatives. This role requires a dynamic marketing executive who can articulate the company's vision, engage with buyers in a digital landscape, and collaborate with the executive leadership team to enhance brand presence and market penetration. The CMO will oversee global go-to-market strategies, brand awareness, digital marketing transformation, and demand generation, while fostering a culture of collaboration and inclusivity within the marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive consistent growth.
  • Create segmentation strategies to penetrate identified markets and maximize customer retention.
  • Elevate the PROS brand and increase share of voice in chosen segments.
  • Act as the company face at external events and manage relationships with key influencers.
  • Drive digital marketing transformation by implementing modern marketing success factors.
  • Operationalize current positioning and messaging strategy, refining it to align with market conversations.
  • Leverage customers, partners, and influencers for targeted messaging and awareness campaigns.
  • Establish the company as a thought leader through effective external communications.
  • Define and drive lead generation activities to fuel pipeline growth for the sales organization.
  • Ensure marketing systems infrastructure provides insights to support growth and manage a multifaceted marketing budget.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of software product marketing experience, ideally in enterprise SaaS.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a senior B2B marketing executive.
  • Experience leading brand transformation initiatives and demand generation.
  • Proven success as an innovator, brand builder, and marketing strategist.
  • Strong executive presence suitable for addressing boards and key stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

  • M.B.A. or M.S. in marketing or a related field.
  • Experience with vertical or industry marketing to drive market growth.
