About the position

The Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) is a physician leader responsible for the coordination and development of information technology to support the highest quality patient care in a value-based payment environment and the efficient documentation of the same. The CMIO will promote the use of the Electronic Medical Record, connectivity with external data sources across the continuum of care, claims data, patient apps, advanced analytics, and other information sources within the clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to areas of responsibility by developing a vision that is aligned with Sun River Health's mission, vision, and strategic plan.
• Articulates the vision of the organization to develop a shared purpose of work and a sense of teamwork.
• Convenes and collaborates with a broad range of clinical and informatics staff to address gaps in care, contract deliverables, efficiency, and health disparities.
• Coaches clinical staff by providing ongoing feedback to individuals and departments.
• Develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote the timely and actionable exchange of patient information in a HIPAA compliant fashion to further their mutual missions of improving population health and individual patient.
