About the position

The Chief of Hematologic Malignancy, Transplant and Cellular Therapy at OU Health will provide strategic leadership for clinical, educational, outreach, and research programs within Hematologic Malignancies and the Transplant and Cellular Therapies Program. This role involves overseeing a team of eight faculty members and the opportunity to expand the team further. The incoming Chief will guide the program through a significant statewide expansion, supported by an endowed chair and additional resources, while contributing to Oklahoma's only NCI-Designated Cancer Center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for clinical, educational, outreach, and research programs in Hematologic Malignancies and Transplant and Cellular Therapies.
  • Oversee a team of eight faculty members and hire additional faculty as needed.
  • Guide the program through a major statewide expansion.
  • Support and enhance the clinical and translational research initiatives in hematologic malignancies and cellular therapies.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree from an approved medical school.
  • Board certification in Hematology.
  • Unrestricted medical license or ability to acquire licensure and DEA in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Academic credentials commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
  • Clinical and translational research experience in hematologic malignancies, blood and marrow transplant, and cellular therapies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in solid tumor cellular therapies.
