The Chief of Staff 5 serves as strategic support to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) within the Accounting and Finance department. This role is pivotal in providing advisory support through strategy, planning, prioritization, and coordination of executive action items. The Chief of Staff 5 is responsible for effective management in various areas including research, administration, communications, change management, and project completion. This position requires a proactive approach to facilitate effective decision-making and assist leadership in planning the strategic vision for the organization. In this role, the Chief of Staff will manage strategic projects on behalf of the CFO, which includes drafting, reviewing, and executing communications on behalf of the leadership team. The individual will assess inquiries directed to the executive, determine the appropriate course of action, and delegate tasks to the relevant individuals. Tracking high-priority initiatives for the executive is essential, as is identifying any obstacles that may arise, ensuring that projects or escalated issues are addressed appropriately. The Chief of Staff will connect teams working on similar initiatives, pulling together and managing project teams that require input from multiple areas within the company. Acting as an organizational change agent, the Chief of Staff will develop effective internal and external relationships, working closely with stakeholders and business leaders to ensure success. Additionally, this role involves partnering with the CFO to support M&A activities within the Finance and Accounting functions, participating in regular meetings with Human Resources to ensure alignment on business initiatives, and establishing adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements. As a trusted advisor, the Chief of Staff will provide insights on issues and trends, leveraging expertise and best practice knowledge to offer general consulting services. The individual will also contribute significantly to the overall growth and quality of the department through knowledge sharing and coaching on current best practices and market trends. Mentoring, coaching, training, and providing feedback to team members is a critical aspect of this role, as is compliance with corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies.
