About the position

As the Chief of Staff at Workato, you will report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in driving strategic initiatives, facilitating executive operations, and fostering collaboration across various functions. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong operational capabilities, who can influence stakeholders and navigate organizational dynamics effectively. You will be a trusted advisor to the executive team, ensuring alignment and accountability for company-wide initiatives while enhancing communication throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of strategic initiatives impacting customer adoption and value realization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders for successful execution.
  • Develop and implement operating mechanisms for alignment and accountability.
  • Manage Workato's Vision, Methods, and Targets (VMTs) framework, including timelines and milestones.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, resolve dependencies, and unblock progress on strategic metrics.
  • Provide insights on customer outcomes and operations to support executive decisions.
  • Manage executive leadership meetings, including agenda formulation and follow-up on action items.
  • Facilitate the company's annual strategic planning and operating calendar.
  • Oversee company-wide internal communications and executive presentations.
  • Prepare for and execute quarterly board meetings and communications.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience as a VP of Strategic Planning and Operations, Chief of Staff, or similar role in a high-growth technology company.
  • Proven track record in developing organization-wide initiatives including org design, culture, and OKR/VMT frameworks.
  • Experience in implementing operating mechanisms for alignment and accountability.
  • Strong program management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and influence stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of customer and market landscape and organizational dynamics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to drive execution.
