About the position

The Chief of Staff at McKesson is responsible for providing strategic leadership and support to the Sales and Account Management organization. This role focuses on executing the Biopharma VP's vision and priorities, ensuring effective communication and decision-making processes among stakeholders. The Chief of Staff will oversee project management, performance monitoring, and cross-functional collaboration to drive initiatives that align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic objectives and priorities for the Sales and Account Management organization.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive initiative execution plan to achieve strategic goals.
  • Monitor progress, identify potential roadblocks, and provide guidance to ensure successful execution of initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the Sales and Account Management organization and other departments to foster collaboration and alignment.
  • Facilitate regular cross-functional meetings to ensure effective communication and coordination of initiatives.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the progress and effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Analyze data and provide regular reports to senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommended actions.
  • Directly own or oversee the planning, execution, and completion of strategic projects within the Sales and Account Management organization.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communication plan to keep stakeholders informed about initiative progress, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and digital transformation within the Sales and Account Management organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of proven experience in a Chief of Staff, Initiative management or similar role, preferably supporting a Sales and Account Management organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with the ability to align initiatives with broader organizational goals.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to identify issues, analyze data, and make informed decisions.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Enthusiasm for AI and digital mindset, and ability to use various needed collaboration tools.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
