About the position

The Chief of Staff to the CEO of the Americas region will serve a critical function in supporting the CEO's Office to ensure the success and execution of the regional strategy. This role is pivotal in ensuring that priorities are met, risks are assessed and mitigated, and problems are identified and solved before they arise. The Chief of Staff will foster collaboration and work closely with both regional and global leadership teams on transversal topics. Engaging with all relevant stakeholders is essential to manage key relationships for the CEO's Office. This position supports key strategic areas including Strategy, Operations, Communications, Governance, and Innovation through collaboration with other members of the regional and global teams. Reporting directly to the CEO of the Americas region, this role requires a robust partnership with Senior Leaders across AXA XL and AXA Group on matters of strategic importance, often of a highly confidential or sensitive nature. The essential responsibilities include coordinating the successful execution of strategic initiatives within the CEO's scope, reporting progress, and identifying risks. The Chief of Staff will act as a sounding board for stakeholders, offering candid feedback and recommendations to streamline execution. This role will facilitate communication and serve as a primary liaison for internal stakeholders, building trusted relationships and ensuring efficient cooperation with various parts of the Leadership team. Maintaining a comprehensive view of CEO activities to manage business-as-usual priorities is crucial, as is assessing inquiries directed to the CEO and proposing appropriate courses of action or delegation. The Chief of Staff will also help prioritize the CEO's time and appointments, handle the cadence and agendas of key meetings, and create high-quality presentations for internal and external meetings. Additionally, this role will act as a trusted advisor and strategic collaborator for the CEO, providing guidance and feedback on new ideas and initiatives, and managing communications with the global communications team to ensure cohesive messaging across the Americas region.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the successful execution of strategic initiatives within the CEO scope, reporting progress and identifying risks.
  • Act as a sounding board for stakeholders, offering candid feedback and recommendations to streamline execution.
  • Facilitate communication and serve as a primary liaison for internal stakeholders, building trusted relationships and ensuring efficient cooperation with the Leadership team.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view of CEO activities to manage business-as-usual priorities, digesting information and anticipating issues proactively.
  • Assess inquiries directed to the CEO and propose appropriate courses of action or delegation to the right individuals.
  • Help the CEO prioritize time and appointments, handling the cadence and agendas of key meetings.

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic collaborator for the CEO, providing guidance and feedback on new ideas and initiatives.
  • Act as the point of contact with the global communications team to ensure cohesive communications across the Americas region.
  • Collaborate with the global communications team to draft and refine communications, ensuring alignment with regional strategies.

Requirements
