About the position

The Chief of Staff for Electric T&D Engineering will lead strategic planning and business management processes, oversee complex projects, and manage key initiatives for the Vice President. This role involves budgeting, performance measurement, and enhancing employee engagement, while representing the officer in various strategic communications and planning processes.

Responsibilities

  • Leads KPI development and Lean Operating System implementation in collaboration with the VP's Direct Reports.
  • Organizes and facilitates DORs, WORs, and MORs to ensure effective reviews.
  • Develops and shapes content for executive forums to execute key strategic objectives.
  • Coordinates and analyzes improvement opportunities across the organization.
  • Manages employee engagement programs and co-worker development initiatives.
  • Takes on ad hoc projects to support organizational needs with minimal supervision.
  • Responsible for the development and continuous improvement of strategic planning and business management processes.
  • Monitors alignment of strategic planning and business management processes with PG&E's mission and vision.
  • Collaborates with leaders to develop and review budgetary requirements.
  • Establishes governance, risk, and compliance processes for operational plans.
  • Plans and supports meetings and communications for leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business or job-related fields.
  • Strong process understanding.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to persuade and influence diplomatically.
  • Competency in developing and delivering multi-mode communications.
  • Competency in planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments.
  • Competency in solving complex problems with contradictory information.
  • Competency in providing direction and delegating tasks.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree, MBA, or equivalent.
  • Experience in Resource Planning or related fields.
  • Experience in risk management or the Utility Industry.
