About the position

The Chief of Staff will serve as a strategic partner within the GE Vernova Finance organization, playing a crucial role in governance, quality, and culture. This position will report directly to the CFO and will function as a thought partner to senior leaders, driving the execution of strategic priorities, business planning, and project management. The Chief of Staff will be responsible for developing and executing plans that align with the organization's goals and objectives, while also establishing standards that enhance the value of work processes. This role demands a high level of integrity and the ability to apply sound deductive reasoning in various situations. The Chief of Staff is expected to be approachable and collaborative, focusing on results even in challenging circumstances. A 'One Team' mindset is essential, as the Chief of Staff will be seen as a supporter of all GE Vernova Businesses and Enabling functions. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of business dynamics and a forward-thinking approach, along with strong analytical skills, a solutions-oriented attitude, and the ability to influence others effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Office of the CFO, collaborating closely with the CFO and the CFO Leadership Team to manage projects, optimize scheduling, and prioritize workflow.
  • Partner with leadership to define, structure, and communicate functional strategy and KPIs.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to align on the team's impact across key focus areas, including diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Work with Communications to ensure the CFO's voice is effectively represented in all forums and channels.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams and leaders as necessary to drive collaboration and innovation.
  • Foster a culture of accountability by promoting behaviors that align with the company's values.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in project development and management, with the ability to create and implement standard work processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying issues and developing action plans.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality while working independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in driving business transformation and navigating complex change situations.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of finance and digital transformation (DT) is preferred.
