About the position

FOCUS Learning is seeking a dynamic Chief of Staff to support the CEO and the Executive team during a period of modernization from on-premise to cloud-based technology. This role is crucial for enabling the company's strategic vision, leading growth initiatives, and facilitating cross-functional alignment. The Chief of Staff will work closely with the CEO to streamline operations and foster a high-performance culture, while also having significant exposure to drive impact across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the CEO to build, communicate, and execute the company's strategic vision, ensuring alignment across departments and functions.
  • Identify areas for improvement, implement best practices, and optimize processes to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CEO and the leadership team, fostering effective communication and alignment of goals and initiatives.
  • Establish KPIs and metrics to track progress against strategic objectives and monitor financial performance in collaboration with finance.
  • Lead high-priority special projects on behalf of the CEO, overseeing timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Provide direct support to the CEO, including preparing for and running key meetings and ensuring clear communication across all levels.

Requirements

  • Experience in a strategic leadership role, preferably as Chief of Staff or similar (consulting, strategy & operations leadership, etc.).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Experience with change management and supporting a business through growth or transformation.
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of translating strategic conversations into actionable plans.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of key metrics that impact shareholder returns.
