About the position

As the Chief of Staff at GXO, you will serve as the right hand to the AMAPAC President, providing essential support across various operational areas to ensure the success of the President's initiatives. This role is pivotal in overseeing overall operational activities on behalf of the President, tracking and orchestrating performance management processes to ensure effective business execution, managing escalations, aggregating information, and driving strategic projects that support informed decision-making. You will be responsible for building immaculate reports, briefings, and presentations, establishing standards for the President's presentations to ensure effective and high-quality information sharing. Your daily responsibilities will include coordinating, preparing, and facilitating internal and external communications on behalf of the President, linking the leadership team with the broader organization. You will make routine operational decisions within your scope of authority and drive Regional Priority Plans, ensuring that workstream leaders and projects are properly synchronized, deliverables are tracked, and escalations are communicated to aid decision-making. Additionally, you will organize executive procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity, support the decision-making process by providing insights, and set or monitor executive key performance indicators to measure and improve team performance. In this role, you will work behind the scenes to identify solutions to problems and address issues before they reach the President. You will create timely and accurate briefings on various topics of interest for the President, integrate information from multiple sources to develop actionable intelligence and recommendations, and facilitate relevant benchmarking and industry information across the company. As a thought partner and strategic advisor to the President, you will participate in meetings, challenge ideas, offer different perspectives, and follow up on action items with the team. You will also consult with other leadership team members, providing analysis, recommendations, and options to the CEO regarding high-impact decisions, while managing the President's brand and reputation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or equivalent related work or military experience.
  • 8 years of experience in an executive capacity.
  • Strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
