About the position

Anduril Industries is seeking a Chief of Staff to support the Maritime US team. This role is pivotal in transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through advanced technology. The Chief of Staff will act as a trusted advisor to the general manager, providing strategic counsel and support on all matters pertaining to the business line. The ideal candidate will possess high horsepower with operational experience and strong interpersonal skills, essential for building trust quickly in a fast-paced environment and executing with high dependability. In this position, the Chief of Staff will facilitate the decision-making process by coordinating information flow, ensuring communication clarity, and aligning priorities within the organization. They will lead strategic initiatives and projects as directed by the general manager, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and objectives. The role also involves coordinating and preparing for executive leadership meetings, including setting agendas, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-through on commitments. The Chief of Staff will drive the execution of the business strategy by collaborating closely with department heads, identifying potential roadblocks, and devising solutions to overcome them. They will serve as a liaison between the general manager and other stakeholders, including employees, customers, and industry partners, to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to business operations. Additionally, overseeing high-level human resources functions, including talent acquisition strategies, leadership development, and succession planning, will be part of their responsibilities. The Chief of Staff will also coordinate across the Maritime division and assist the Head of Division Operations in compiling a comprehensive picture of overall Division performance, representing the maritime US business in executive meetings and external events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the general manager, providing strategic counsel and support on all matters pertaining to the business line.
  • Facilitate the decision-making process by coordinating information flow, ensuring communication clarity, and aligning priorities within the organization.
  • Lead strategic initiatives and projects as directed by the general manager, ensuring they align with the overall business strategy and objectives.
  • Coordinate and prepare for executive leadership meetings, including setting agendas, tracking action items, and ensuring follow-through.
  • Drive the execution of the business strategy by working closely with department heads, identifying potential roadblocks, and devising solutions to overcome them.
  • Liaise between the general manager and other stakeholders, including employees, customers, and industry partners, to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to business operations.
  • Oversee high-level human resources functions, including talent acquisition strategies, leadership development, and succession planning.
  • Coordinate across the Maritime division, into other sites (domestic and international) to assist the Head of Division Operations in compiling a picture of overall Division performance.
  • Represent the maritime US business in executive meetings and external events as needed.

Requirements

  • Operational experience in strategy, investment banking, or consulting preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Science or Engineering field or equivalent practical experience preferred.
  • Experience working at a US government contractor, subcontractor, or within the government preferred.
  • Previous success as a Chief of Staff supporting Executives preferred.
  • MBA or similar graduate degree preferred.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance.
