About the position

The Chief of Staff - Market Leadership Advisor at Humana is responsible for managing the development, operations, and results of a health plan, specifically focusing on the Northeast Region. This role involves ensuring that health plans meet or exceed corporate Medicare performance benchmarks while implementing strategic plans. The advisor serves as a primary resource for product design, maintains relationships with key stakeholders, and advises executives on functional strategies. The position requires independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues, collaboration with regional associates, and ownership of market product offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, operations, and results of a health plan.
  • Ensure assigned health plans meet or exceed corporate Medicare performance benchmarks.
  • Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders within the region.
  • Advise executives on developing functional strategies related to market and product specifics.
  • Exercise independent judgment on complex issues regarding job duties and tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Regional President to execute business reviews and strategy sessions.
  • Develop and lead initiatives to expand market capability and profitability.
  • Drive product initiatives in collaboration with Retail leadership.
  • Take ownership of market product offerings and conduct competitive analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of program, project, and people leadership experience in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with organizational change leadership execution or project/program delivery.
  • Familiarity with product management frameworks and product delivery.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at senior levels within the organization.
  • Strong executive-level presentation and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience in developing working relationships within a highly matrixed business environment.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations.
  • Experience working with sensitive and confidential information.
