About the position

The Chief of Staff - Market Leadership Advisor at Humana is responsible for managing the development, operations, and results of a health plan within the Northeast Region. This role involves addressing complex problems, ensuring health plans meet corporate Medicare performance benchmarks, and advising executives on functional strategies. The advisor collaborates with various stakeholders to enhance market capabilities and profitability, while also leading initiatives that promote idea sharing and trend savings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, operations, and results of a health plan.
  • Ensure assigned health plans meet or exceed corporate Medicare performance benchmarks.
  • Advise executives on functional strategies related to market and product specifics.
  • Collaborate with Regional associates and Retail leadership to drive product initiatives.
  • Develop and lead initiatives to expand market capabilities and profitability.
  • Take ownership of market product offerings and conduct competitive analysis.
  • Partner with aligned business partners for the bid process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of program, project, and people leadership experience in a matrixed organization
  • Experience in the healthcare industry
  • Experience with organizational change leadership or project/program delivery
  • Familiarity with product management frameworks and product delivery
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at senior levels
  • Strong executive-level presentation and communication skills
  • Experience in developing working relationships in a matrixed environment
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree
  • Prior knowledge of Northeast Medicare products and competitive landscapes
  • Experience developing relationships with key stakeholders
