About the position

The Chief of Staff - Market Leadership Advisor at Humana is responsible for managing the development, operations, and results of a health plan within the Northeast Region. This role involves ensuring that health plans meet or exceed corporate Medicare performance benchmarks and implementing strategic plans. The advisor serves as a primary resource on product design, maintains relationships with key stakeholders, and advises executives on functional strategies. The position requires independent judgment and decision-making on complex issues, working closely with the Regional President to execute business reviews and strategy sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, operations, and results of a health plan.
  • Ensure assigned health plans meet or exceed corporate Medicare performance benchmarks.
  • Implement the strategic plan for the Northeast Region.
  • Maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advise executives on developing functional strategies related to market and product specifics.
  • Develop and lead initiatives to expand market capability and respond to changing environments.
  • Drive product initiatives in collaboration with Regional associates and Retail leadership.
  • Take ownership of market product offerings and conduct competitive analysis.
  • Partner with business partners for the bid process.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of program, project, and people leadership experience in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience with organizational change leadership execution or project/program delivery.
  • Experience with product management frameworks and product delivery.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate at senior levels within the organization.
  • Strong consensus-building and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience developing working relationships in a highly matrixed business environment.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed recommendations.
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
