About the position

The Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO plays a critical role in enabling communication, collaboration, and strategy execution to support the CEO and the Zoetis Executive Team (ZET). This position involves strategic planning for executive meetings, managing the CEO's calendar, and ensuring effective communication and follow-up on action items. The Chief of Staff will also assist in drafting presentations and managing logistics for domestic and international travel for the CEO and executive team members.

Responsibilities

  • Support the CEO and Executive team in ensuring effective and efficient executive team meetings and offsites by strategically planning agendas, logistics, and materials.
  • Take meeting minutes, track action items and follow-ups.
  • Draft important Board and other executive presentations and strategies.
  • Organize and lead planning for all domestic and international trips for CEO and executive team members.
  • Manage the calendar of external speaking and media events in collaboration with the communications team.
  • Balance internal and Board commitments with external industry and other boards for the CEO.
  • Assist CEO in day-to-day communications including issue management and follow-up email communications.
  • Ensure follow-through on Zoetis Executive team action items and other follow-ups.
  • Lead and plan agendas for monthly Zoetis Executive Team Chief of Staff Network to ensure team alignment and development.
  • Provide decision support to triage, distill and organize recommendations for CEO approval.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8-10 years' business experience, preferably in strategy consulting or project management.
  • Proven track record of working closely with C-suite/VP-level management and influencing across multiple levels and functions of an organization.
  • Ability to track, prioritize, and drive multiple projects successfully.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and process management skills.
  • Ability to build trust with executives and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Sharp business judgment and ability to see the 'big picture'.
  • Strong work ethic and disciplined execution skills.
