About the position

We have re-opened the position for our Chief of Staff (COS) role. We are seeking an exceptionally qualified Chief of Staff to provide high-level support to a founder of an impact-focused company. The ideal candidate will excel in managing both personal and professional tasks with discretion, efficiency, and strategic insight. This role requires an educated individual who is resourceful, hardworking, and professional, with a commitment to getting the job done and maintaining top-notch performance. At this time, we are only interested in candidates who have both Personal and Corporate experience. The Chief of Staff will serve as the primary point of contact for the principal, managing communications and fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This includes overseeing complex scheduling, appointment setting, and travel logistics, including international travel and itinerary planning. The role also involves planning and executing social gatherings, philanthropic events, and other special occasions, ensuring flawless execution by liaising with vendors and guests. In addition to event planning, the Chief of Staff will manage all aspects of household operations, including maintenance, inventory, security, and staff supervision to ensure smooth and efficient home management. The position requires negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors and service providers to secure favorable terms and high service standards. Financial oversight is also a key responsibility, supporting household financial management, including budgeting, invoice handling, and coordination with financial advisors and family office personnel. The Chief of Staff will conduct research and manage high-level special projects, providing strategic input and ensuring successful outcomes. Handling sensitive information and running confidential errands with utmost care and discretion is essential. The role requires proactive support, maintaining awareness of the principal's obligations to anticipate needs and address potential issues proactively. Additionally, the Chief of Staff will provide strategic support to the principal's priorities and initiatives, contributing to decision-making and project management, while developing and implementing systems and processes to enhance efficiency across personal and professional domains.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10+ years in assistant or household management roles, with at least 5 years supporting a C-Suite executive or private principal.
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, adept at managing multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills with proven experience in managing contracts and vendor relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrating professionalism with a diverse range of external parties.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and high adaptability, with a strategic mindset and ability to anticipate and address needs proactively.
  • Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet, capable of handling last-minute requests and changing circumstances with grace and efficiency.
  • A self-starter who consistently executes at a high level, able to inspire and manage a variety of internal and external parties.
