About the position

As the Chief of Staff for Provider Data Solutions at Elevance Health, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the business unit. This hybrid position requires a deep understanding of all aspects of the business, allowing you to partner effectively with executive leadership to define and implement strategies that will drive future success. You will be responsible for translating high-level strategies into actionable tactics, prioritizing programs and projects, and establishing timelines to ensure alignment with the enterprise's strategic plans. Your ability to document strategic priorities, analyze the external environment, and report on customer insight research initiatives will be crucial in this role. In addition to strategic planning, you will build and leverage relationships across the organization to provide innovative solutions to complex business challenges. Your insights will help propose opportunities for improvement based on continuous needs assessments, ensuring that the organization remains agile and responsive to changing market conditions. You will oversee the development, implementation, and monitoring of planning and project activities within the line of business, working closely with the leadership team to enhance associate engagement and development. Managing the budget and organizational structure for the Provider Data Solutions organization will also fall under your purview. This role requires travel to various work sites and locations as necessary, emphasizing the importance of being adaptable and responsive to the needs of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all aspects of the business and partner with executive leadership to define strategy and successful criteria for the future.
  • Translate strategy into defined tactics, program/project priorities, and timelines to ensure alignment with enterprise strategic plans.
  • Document strategic priorities, including external environment analysis and customer insight research initiatives.
  • Build and leverage relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
  • Propose opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor line of business planning and project activities.
  • Partner with the leadership team regarding associate engagement and development.
  • Support managing the budget and organizational structure for the provider data solutions organization.
  • Travel to worksite and other locations as necessary.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience, including prior leadership experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of strategic planning experience.
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
