About the position

The Chief of Staff for Provider Data Solutions at Elevance Health plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the business unit. This hybrid position requires a deep understanding of all aspects of the business, allowing the Chief of Staff to partner effectively with executive leadership to define and refine the strategy and success criteria for the future. The role involves translating high-level strategies into actionable tactics, prioritizing programs and projects, and establishing timelines to ensure alignment with the enterprise's strategic plans. This is essential for turning strategic visions into tangible realities. In addition to strategic planning, the Chief of Staff is responsible for documenting strategic priorities, analyzing the external environment, and reporting on customer insight research initiatives. Building and leveraging relationships is crucial, as the Chief of Staff must provide innovative solutions to complex business problems and propose opportunities for improvement based on continuous needs assessments. The role also encompasses the development, implementation, and monitoring of planning and project activities within the line of business. Another key responsibility is to partner with the leadership team to enhance associate engagement and development. The Chief of Staff will support the management of the budget and organizational structure for the provider data solutions organization, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet strategic goals. This position may require travel to various work sites and locations as necessary, emphasizing the need for flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand all aspects of the business and partner with executive leadership to define strategy and success criteria for the future.
  • Translate strategy into defined tactics, program/project priorities, and timelines to ensure alignment with enterprise strategic plans.
  • Document strategic priorities, analyze the external environment, and report on customer insight research initiatives.
  • Build and leverage relationships to provide innovative solutions to complex business problems.
  • Propose opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor line of business planning and project activities.
  • Partner with the leadership team regarding associate engagement and development.
  • Support managing the budget and organizational structure for the provider data solutions organization.
  • Travel to worksite and other locations as necessary.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of strategic planning experience.
  • Any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.
